27 Mile

Well I’m 27 miles passed Lac La Biche

And I’m thinking I should turn this thing around

As I pass the crosses on the road I think

What a place to lose your soul my friends

And I know you won’t be there when I get home

You left to Ontario huh

And it doesn’t really matter to me

If I ever see hwy 63 again

Now isn’t that something we could all own amongst ourselves

Isn’t that something we could all share as well

When did this country become a company for sale

Isn’t it our blood and our sweat

Us hired help

Well I’m 27 miles passed Lac La Biche

And I’m thinking I should turn this thing around

The bank says I’m doing so well

But the bank seems to be doing better even still

And I’d only be gone for a month or two

A couple days is way too long for you

And it doesn’t really matter to me

If ever see Hwy 63 again

Now isn’t that something we could all own as well

And isn’t it something we could all share amongst ourselves

When did this country become a company for sale

Isn’t that our blood and our sweat us hired

Help, Help, Help, Help, Help, Help, Help me now ohhhh

Because I’m 27 miles passed Lac La Biche and I’m trying not to hit the ditch again
